Is their remaining small intestine length <200 cm?

Are they presenting any of the symptoms shown below?

SYMPTOMS

  • Postsurgical malabsorption
  • High-output ostomy or enterocutaneous fistula
  • Intestinal anastomosis with chronic diarrhoea
  • Gallstones
  • History of inflammatory bowel disease or mesenteric ischaemia
  • Electrolyte disturbances
  • Dehydration
  • Central line (e.g. PICC line) infection
  • Poor wound healing
